On behalf of the entire staff of the School of Global Education, I would like to congratulate our newly elected Global Education Student Advisory Council members for 2019-2020!
A big shout out to all the spirited Globies who ran for office this time. Remember: Council meetings are open to all active Global Education students, so don't be shy come September. We welcome your presence and ideas!
Once again, Congrats to our new Council members!
Make us proud, Globies!
The Role of the Global Education Student Advisory Council
Each year students are elected in June to the offices of President, Vice President and Secretary, as well as Class Representatives for grades 10-11-12. Freshmen elections are held in September.
The Council meets regularly throughout the year to plan activities such as float building, after school events and social outings. They also select the menu for the annual Awards Banquet, which is held each May.
As leaders in their class, Council members serve as a link between students and staff and bring another level of community to our program. Meetings are open to all Globies, and we encourage students to take a proactive approach in offering suggestions and participating in the many activities unique to the School of Global Education.
